MAGNUS vs. KAYA in PITTSBURGH, PA

Megan and I went to the Pittsburgh, PA area for a short mini-vacation. While we were there we played a short game of WARMACHINE. She took Magnus and I used Kaya. We didn't have any terrain to use so we improvised with plates and other stuff from around the room. The game was rough and tumble. Boomhowler faced off against the Thran Ravangers but not before the Totem Hunter killed Eyriss.

The third turn was all about Magnus. The Renegade popped the rocket at close range from a hill, and hit Kaya and Two Argus. This was followed up with a well placed Raining Steel from Magnus that hit all three again, plus a Warpwolf.

On the fifth and last turn, Kaya got off the assassination run.

Magnus was beat down with Kaya's stick and then a Warpwolf torn him limb from limb.

Believe me, it was a gory mess.

Highlights of the Game included:

• In turn 2, Gun Mages earning their keep by knocking out the Cortex on the Mangler.
• In turn 3, Jonne managing to nearly wipe out a unit of Gun Mages with one shot.
• In turn 3, Freebooter double handed throwing Hunter turning it into a wreck.
• In turn 4, with Eyriss out in the open. Caine dropping all his focus on trying to shoot her and missing every time!
• In turn 4, Mangler having a chance to kill 5 Gun Mages ... and missing all of them.
• In turn 4, Boomhowler and the boys pounding Caine to mush.

ON THE PAINTING TABLE

Life had been so hectic lately that I haven't been able to just sit down and enjoy painting a miniature.

I did some painting on my days off.

It was a nice stress relief.
