SWAMP GOBBER IN COOK FOREST

Megan, Bob, and I visited Cook Forest a few weeks back right after a big thunderstorm. It was kind of messy out there, but we figured it would be cool because we're mean and tough Swamp Gobbers.

The 80-foot fire tower built in 1929 gave firefighters a 15-20 mile view of the area. The tower retired from service in 1966. Visitors can park their cars and walk a short distance to Seneca Point Overlook and the firetower for a magnificent view of the Clarion River valley from an elevation of 1600 feet American Indians used the sandstone of the Seneca Point Overlook area to grind seeds and grains.

We had a lot of fun hiking around. It had been awhile since I came to visit. Bob had a great time sniffing everything and peeing on everything else. All and all, it was the perfect little get away.

Plus, eating at the Farmer's Inn was cool too. However, Bob discovered that goats do NOT like dogs.
