Here's what I did.
I had to tear out the handle on top. This was a little annoying because it's made of thick plasic. Use a sharp utility knife. Be careful not to cut yourself.
Then I removed all the decorative cardboard stuff. All of this is mainly on the inside.
I also tore out the goofy coffee table thing that is white and blue. It came out fairly easily after unscrewing the anchors, cutting it loose, and smashing it with a hammer. No kidding.
I then spray painted the entire thing black.
I took a section of 40K Cities of Death building and glued it into the gap. I used the section that had two doors.
I used a sharp hobby knife to cut around the doors so that I could position them to appear open.
I ran a small bead of super glue along the hinges of the door to make sure it remained strong.
I also took one of the 40K Cities of Death lamps and drilled it out with a pin vise. I took a standard needle push pin and snipped the head off of it. Then I drilled into the building right next to the double doors. Using the pin, I affixed the lamp into place and added some super glue to hold it permanently.
Next time we'll take a look at the side entrance area.
