SPCA EVENT PLANNING

I started to come up with some ideas for the charity event to benefit the Clearfield County SPCA. I am running this event independantly from any of the local gaming stores. I will be running the whole thing out of my own pocket.
I'm going to run it like FOODMACHINE or the THRALL HARVEST. I will need to charge a reasonable entry fee ($8-$10?) to cover the cost of rental space. Then players will be able to donate items for the SPCA from an approved list (including stuff like blankets, towels, toliet paper, paper towels, and other stuff like that.)
I am even considering getting t-shirts printed up. I could get a quote from screening places in town and then ask local players for preorders. I can also offer the preorders to the Privateer Press Staff, Press Gangers, and Infernals. They usually help out by ordering t-shirts like this. I recently ordered a "Swamp Gobber" t-shirt from a fellow Press Ganger who was getting shirts printed. Then I could sell the remaining shirts at the event. T-Shirt profits will go to the SPCA.
I am going to do the press release and charity promotion stuff with tv, radio, and local stores.
I am also hitting up the local buisnesses trying to find places to donate prizes. J C Penny is willing to donate a gift card, and Tainted Flesh is considering offering a coupon or a free tattoo. I will keep seeking donated prizes from local buisnesses.
I am also going to collect some fun prizes to give out. I'm seeking out army/navy style patches and lapel pins to use as prizes. The Call to Arms League stuff promotes players wearing green army uniform coats and vests to display their pins and patches. Maybe we can get the same thing going on at events!
Do you have any ideas? Suggestions? Contact me! (please)
